Our stay at this hidden gem was absolutely mind-blowing! The owner, a super friendly and funny host, went above and beyond to give us helpful tips for our trip despite our limited Spanish. The staff was incredibly friendly and always willing to assist. They even prepared a delicious lunch package for our trip to Calakmul! The magical atmosphere of the place instantly put us in a state of relaxation. The large and comfortable room had both AC and hot water working perfectly. Even though the hotel/hostel had a rustic charm, it was well-maintained and offered amenities like free Wi-Fi in public areas, a bar/lounge area, and a seasonal outdoor pool. We thoroughly enjoyed the tasty meals they served, and Balthasar, the owner, ensured we had a cheerful experience. a jaw-dropping experience that we highly recommend!

We recently stayed at a lovely place near the Calakmul reserve. Cabanas Zoh Laguna Calakmul is a sweet little town with a hotel/hostel that may seem a bit unkempt but was perfectly fine for our three-day stay. the large room had working AC and hot water, and we appreciated the tranquil atmosphere. Balthasar, the owner, was friendly and even helped us find a great guide for exploring the ruins and birdwatching at Calakmul. The garden was a haven for beautiful birds, and it was nice to have the option of dinner served until late at night. Cons: Everything was fantastic! 🌟.

The location of this hotel is fantastic! It is surrounded by beautiful nature and you can wake up to the sounds of birds singing in the garden. the rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. the warm water in the shower was a great relief after a long day of exploring.
The food at the hotel's restaurant was disappointing. the quality was poor and the flavors were bland, especially the chicken fajitas.

I had an amazing stay at this family-owned bungalow surrounded by beautiful nature. The passionate staff and owners made me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived. The highlight of my stay was the homemade food, especially the fish they caught and cooked on the grill. It was one of the best food experiences I've had in Mexico. Additionally, the location was convenient for visiting the Calakmul temple and I could hear the sounds of animals from the nearby jungle.
Can't think of anything 🤷♀️
